Happy Skin Makes a Grand Entrance at SM City Grand Central

Filipinas have a new reason to smile at SM City Grand Central: soft-focus skin, weightless colors, and that unmistakable, radiant glow.  Happy Skin, the beloved domestic beauty brand that perfectly blends cosmetics and skincare, has officially opened its newest store, bringing its cult-favorite basics closer to the Northern Metro's busy, beauty-loving populace.

For years, Filipina women have faced a common challenge: choosing makeup that improves without damaging and skincare that produces results without breaking the bank.  Happy Skin cracked the code in 2013, and more than a decade later, it is still redefining local beauty with products that nourish skin as you wear them.  The brand's newest location at SM City Grand Central brings that promise even closer to beauty fans in the region.

The store reflects the brand's characteristic aesthetic: clean, modern, and spacious, with soft pink touches and warm neutrals that create a relaxing, welcoming ambiance.  But the true draw is the experience: a carefully selected playground of makeup and skincare imported from the world's beauty capitals, including Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, and all developed with skin-loving elements tailored to the Philippine environment and different Filipina skin tones.

Customers may now try Happy Skin's hallmark products, including the popular "Shut Up & Kiss Me" lippies and "Eye Am Here to Stay" gel eyeliner, as well as the celebrated weightless tints and hydrating skincare lines.  Each product is made with elements that nourish the skin while also providing effortless beauty, making it easier than ever for women to look and feel their best.

The inauguration of Happy Skin at SM City Grand Central reinforces the company's objective of making world-class beauty more accessible to women by providing them with products that seamlessly combine style and skincare. Happy Skin, with its fun packaging, simple formulae, and dedication to cruelty-free, skin-friendly cosmetics, continues to demonstrate that bright, healthy skin is always in style.

Visit SM City Grand Central and discover the perfect balance of glow and care that your skin will thank you.

Pru Life UK Strengthens Commitment to Inclusive Education with Adopt-a-Madrasah Rollout in CDO

Pru Life UK VP for Sustainability and Takaful head Maricel Estavillo (fourth from left) joins Madrasah principals and the Pru Life UK team for the distribution of IT assets to support learning in Muslim communities

Pru Life UK is expanding its Adopt-a-Madrasah campaign to Cagayan de Oro as part of its commitment to better support Mindanao's underprivileged Muslim communities.

Pru Life UK's Takaful journey includes empowering more Muslim communities through the Adopt-a-Madrasah program, which emphasizes the importance of financial security, technology upskilling, and climate and health readiness.  Pru Life UK was the first in the country to receive a Takaful (Islamic insurance) operator licence from the Insurance Commission.

“At Pru Life UK, we firmly believe that education is a powerful driver of change, which is why we, together with our partners, continue to strive to ensure opportunities are available to everyone. Through the expansion of the Adopt-a-Madrasah programme, we hope to broaden our impact by helping equip more Muslim communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to build sustainable futures—and to prove to them that they can count on us anytime.” ~Maricel Estavillo, Pru Life UK’s Sustainability and Takaful Head

The Adopt-a-Madrasah campaign concludes this year with the introduction in Cagayan de Oro.  The rollout builds on the program's successful implementation in Bangkal, Davao City, earlier this year, when three community Madaris received digital learning equipment in collaboration with Pru Life UK's circular economy partners, Humble Sustainability and LiteHaus International.

The Adopt-a-Madrasah program, piloted in 2024, included the donation of educational supplies, hygiene kits, and a creative session led by Pru Life UK staff and agent volunteers.

These activities are carried out in collaboration with local Muslim community leaders and government partners.  The project reinforces the company's purpose to be a trusted partner and defender for future generations, improving lives via education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
