Must-See Royal Crowns Jewels and Royal Places on your next luxury tour!

Pride of Scotland Crown Jewels

Tourists at the United Kingdom often think of the Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London’s 140 royal ceremonial objects including the Imperial State Crown, the Sovereign’s Orb, and the Sovereign’s Scepter when planning a royal sightseeing. For a different monarchical experience, Scotland is a must-visit.

Edinburgh Castle from the North

Standing on an outcrop of volcanic rock, Scotland’s Edinburgh Castle has seen plenty of palace intrigues, imprisonments, and even murders throughout the stronghold’s centuries-old history. Some of the places to explore include the twelfth-century St. Margaret’s Chapel, the massive Mons Meg cannon, and the Stone of Destiny used for the coronation of Scottish monarchs and, later on, the monarchs of unified Great Britain.

The Scottish Crown Jewels once worn by Mary Queen of Scots are on display in the Crown Room of Edinburgh Castle together with the Stone of Destiny. Known as the Honours of Scotland, these royal articles include the Crown first donned by James V, the Scepter gifted to James IV by Pope Alexander VI, and the Sword of State also given to James IV by Pope Julius II.

Seat of Thailand’s Royal House
Thailand Grand Palace

More than the power and prestige that monarchs hold, it’s the artifacts and buildings signifying sovereignty that capture people’s imaginations. From the Forbidden City in Beijing to the British Crown Jewels in the Tower of London, these regal legacies embody the pomp and splendor of royalty commoners can only dream of.

We commoners may never get the chance to own these regal vestments and mansions. But with good enough savings, we can at least treat ourselves to a luxury vacation for a glimpse of these once-exclusive royal attractions. Thinking of spending a little to see some of history's most renowned symbols of royalty? Here are a few ideas that will take you beyond the usual experience of crowns and castles.

Symbols of Japan’s Chrysanthemum Throne
Tokyo Imperial Palace Fujimi Yagura

Just a few kilometers from Tokyo Station in Japan, the Imperial Palace offers scenic views in the East Garden where the public can stroll around arboreal spaces surrounded by deep moats and towering stone walls. Guided tours are restricted outside the buildings. Fortunately, the inner precincts open during two occasions: the customary New Year’s greeting every January 2 and the Emperor’s birthday.

As for Japan’s Imperial Regalia, the Three Sacred Treasures are distributed in three holy shrines dedicated to the Shinto Goddess Amaterasu: the jewel Yasakani no Magatama housed in the Imperial Palace; the mirror Yata no Kagami kept in the Grand Shrine of Ise, Mie Prefecture; and the sword Kusanagi no Tsurugi located in Atsuta Shrine at Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. These relics are not on public display, but tourists can still visit the Museum of the Imperial Collections in the East Garden to see the imperial household treasures including paintings, pottery, sculptures, and calligraphy.

Remains of the Holy Roman Empire
Kaiserberg Burg
Dominating the Nuremburg skyline in Bavaria, Germany, is Kaiserburg Castle, home to the German kings of the Holy Roman Empire for about 500 years.  Notable attractions include the Romanesque double chapel featuring a Gothic crucifix by Northern Renaissance German sculptor, Veit Stross. Others are the Imperial Apartments containing antique furniture, tapestries, and artwork, as well as the Imperial Castle Museum featuring an array of armaments.

The Imperial Regalia, however, is housed in Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. On display include the stone-studded Imperial Crown, the Imperial Scepter, the Imperial Orb, the Imperial Sword, and the Holy Lance said to have pierced the side of Jesus during his crucifixion. These, among a host of regalia and reliquaries on exhibit, are only part of a large secular collection from across Europe.

As the oldest set of crown jewels in the British Isles, the Honours played many roles from crowing ancient Scottish kings and queens to representing the Monarch at the Scottish Parliament in modern times. Curious about the history of the Scottish regalia and its first possessors?

With up to four pilots per race, the winner Jerico Taleon, flew his drone within the shortest time took home a cash prize of P30,000. Runners-up were Marlon Caras and Mark Cometa.

Rotocross is a spec class game. For this, participants were again grouped into batches of four for the elimination round. They flew their drones through a marked course, and the racers who finished first per batch moved up the ladder of eliminations. In the evening, the finals were held to determine the Rotocross Champion. Repeat winner Jerico Taleon received a P20,000, a trophy, plus items from sponsors. SIREN Now In Philippines ON BLUE ANT ENTERTAINMENT

May 23, 2018 Greenbelt 3 Cinema - we got a great opportunity to watch first the newest tv show which will air on June 04, 2018 at selected cable providers.

The story of mermaids here in the Philippines is well recognized by the Filipinos even though until now it is still a mystery for everyone. We love watching teleserye about this creature because of its beautiful and sexy appearance which attracts more viewer especially guys like me.  I can still remember "Marina" which played by the well-known actress Claudine Barreto.

With the arrival of this New Tv Series, many people will get addicted watching this show. Let's all wait and watch this show because it's really thrilling and worth waiting for every episode.

Mermaids in popular culture are often shy but enchanting half-human, half-fish creatures that would risk exposing their secret existence to save drowning sailors in a stormy sea. In mythology, however, these aquatic beings are far from benign and would prey on hapless seafarers by luring them with their hypnotic song. It’s these vicious mermaids of ancient times that are wreaking havoc not just in the water but also on land in the newest and exciting American drama series Siren premiering Monday, 4 June at 9:45PM on Blue Ant Entertainment.

Legend has it that mermaids once lived on what is now Bristol Cove, a quiet coastal town on the Pacific Northwest. The town folklore would soon prove more than a fairytale with the sudden appearance of a young woman who calls herself Ryn.  The mysterious visitor catches the eye of local marine biologist Ben Pownall, whose interest on the strange woman arouses suspicion from a fellow marine biologist, Maddie Bishop.

Others, like deep-sea fisherman Xander McClure, are also on a quest to uncover the truth beneath the waves, while town eccentric Helen Hawkins seems to know more about the local legend than what Bristol Cove has been led to believe.

Tension rises between the denizens of land and sea as predatory mermaids seek to claim their birthright.

Belgian actress Eline Powell stars as the mysterious Ryn, opposite British actor Alex Roe playing marine biologist Ben Pownall. Together they unravel the secrets of Bristol Cove along with British actress Fola Evans-Akingbola as Maddie Bishop, American actor Ian Verdun as Xander McClure, and New Zealand actress Rena Owen as the town folklorist, Helen Hawkins.

Women’s digital media and entertainment company Refinery29 describes Siren as “gripping and original,” while one of Florida’s largest newspapers, Tampa Bay Times, says that the show is “worth the deep dive in.” The Internet’s go-to source of entertainment news Cinemablend further applauds Powell as “a standout as Ryn.”

Meet the cast. The Town of Bristol Cove discovers a secret hidden underwater as predatory aquatic creatures suddenly come to the surface. From left: Ian Verdun as deep-sea fisherman Xander McClure, Fola Evans-Akingbola and Ben Pownall as marine biologists Maddie Bishop and Alex Roe, Eline Powell, and Sibongile Mlambo as mermaids Ryn and Donna, and Rena Owen as the town folklore expert Helen Hawkins.

Mermaid in disguise. Belgian actress Eline Powell stars as Ryn, a mysterious woman who transforms into a human being to venture into the coastal town of Bristol Cove in Blue Ant Entertainment’s newest American drama, Siren.

Caught in a mystery. English actor Alex Roe plays Ben Pownall, a marine biologist who unwittingly becomes involved in legends and government secrets after encountering the mysterious Ryn (Eline Powell).

Entranced by siren song. Ben Pownall (Alex Roe) becomes drawn to the mysterious Ryn (Eline Powell), who suddenly appeared in Bristol Cove.

Denizens of the sea. Zimbabwean actress Sibongile Mlambo plays Donna, a powerful mermaid accidentally caught by Bristol Cove fishermen.

Fish out of water. The mermaid Ryn (Eline Powell) discovers what it means to take on human form as she explores Bristol Cove on two legs.

Catch the two-hour special premiere of Siren first and exclusive on Monday, 4 June at 9:45 P.M. first and exclusive on Blue Ant Entertainment.
