Mondelēz International celebrates Purpose Day 2025 through mindful and sustainable snacking

CONNECTING WITH PURPOSE. Mondelēz International employees celebrated Purpose Day by taking part in numerous activities that embodied the purpose and mission of the organization.


Mondelēz International Philippines celebrated Purpose Day, an annual event commemorating the company's anniversary and dedication to creating a positive impact. With the 2025 theme "Empower Our Future," the company banded together to promote mindful snacking, community engagement, and sustainability initiatives. This concept is consistent with the Company's Purpose of inspiring people to snack responsibly.




This year's event included the culmination of the 4th Walk, Run, Bike, and Workout (WRBW) Challenge, a company-wide fitness effort that urged everyone to take care of their health and live thoughtfully.  Over the course of two months, approximately 100 challengers walked over 12 million steps, ran 5,600 kilometers, biked 4,400 kilometers, and burnt nearly 250,000 calories.  The friendly competition pushed colleagues to exercise and develop healthy habits while having fun.

PURPOSE IN ACTION. Team members volunteered to take part in a meal kit assembly and packing activity to promote Mindful Snacking for the benefit of the students of South Daang Hari Elementary School.


Purpose Day also provided an opportunity to give back. Volunteers from the charity volunteered their time to prepare and distribute lunch kits for pupils at Taguig's South Daang Hari Elementary School, which included nutritional snacks and food packs. The action reflected the company's Purpose and advocacy for Mindful Snacking, demonstrating how empowerment begins with caring for others and sharing our knowledge of balanced nutrition.

In keeping with its mission, the corporation emphasized its strong commitment to sustainability.  Mondelēz International's #SustainableSnacking initiative includes becoming a zero-waste-to-landfill location.  This was reinforced by encouraging colleagues to segregate their waste on a daily basis in pantries and common spaces, ensuring that each form of waste is correctly diverted and does not wind up in landfills or as marine litter.
