AirAsia Philippines Wins Gold at NEXT Awards Asia-Pacific 2025 for Gen Z–Driven “LFG!” Campaign

AirAsia Philippines won the Gold Award for Most Innovative Video Marketing Campaign at the NEXT Awards Asia-Pacific 2025, recognizing its daring, Gen Z-centered "Let's Fly and Go!  The "(LFG!)" ad reinvented how airlines connect younger travelers.

The prize was presented at a gala night hosted at Shangri-La The Fort in Manila, which brought together 79 major organizations from across Asia-Pacific.

The NEXT Awards Asia-Pacific are part of MARKETECH APAC's flagship What's NEXT in Marketing series, which recognizes outstanding campaigns for their innovation, efficacy, and regional impact.  This year's winners covered a wide range of markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, Myanmar, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

“Truly grateful to be recognized at the NEXT Awards 2025 by MARKETECH APAC. Winning Gold for Most Innovative Video Marketing Campaign means so much to our team, and we’re inspired to keep pushing boundaries. With LFG!, we didn’t just sell flights, we captured the excitement of travel itself, inspiring the next generation to explore, discover, and create memories with AirAsia.” ~Gian Directo, Head of Commercial

AirAsia Philippines received accolades for its 2024 LFG campaign, a multi-platform video venture that challenged traditional airline marketing.  The advertisement captured the thrill of unplanned travel—the exhilaration of clicking "book now," last-minute escapades, and companions saying, "Let's go!"—creating a story that strongly engaged with Gen Z. Its new storytelling and dynamic execution positioned AirAsia as the first local airline to launch a video-driven brand push of this magnitude and style.
