Just days after reintroducing the popular Cheese Dunk, McDonald's Philippines is giving sauce-loving Filipinos another reason to celebrate with a new Dunk flavor: the bold and savory Chili Con Carne Dunk.

 The new Chili Con Carne Dunk, bursting with rich and hearty flavor, elevates McDonald's signature burgers with premium ground beef simmered in a secret blend of spices.  Customers now have more options for customizing their McDonald's favorites.

Breaking records, McDonald's Stripes Run 2024 raises ₱1 million for Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers



On December 1, 2024, the eagerly awaited McDonald's Stripes Run 2024 came to an unprecedented close at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. With an incredible 11,000 participants, the 13th edition of this family fun run saw the highest attendance in its history.

The McDonald's Stripes Run has been a celebration of fitness, friendship, and family since its inception in 2010. By raising ₱1 million for the Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers, which offer secure and caring environments for kids in underprivileged areas, this year's event carried on its tradition of supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).





McDonald's Philippines credits a robust digital outreach strategy and ongoing innovation for the event's record-breaking attendance.

The Fur Stripes category, which enables runners to run with their furry friends, is one of the event's most well-received additions. This year, 500 fur babies joined in the fun, filling the category to capacity. In order to promote inclusivity and acknowledge pets as a vital component of family bonding, McDonald's created this special category.





The Agoncillo Family (Ryan, Judy Ann, and Luna), KaladKaren, Angeline Quinto, Ysabel Ortega, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco were among the well-known celebrities who attended, which increased the excitement. Their presence boosted the crowd's energy levels and demonstrated how appealing the event is to a wide range of age groups.




More Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers will be established across the country with the money raised from the Stripes Run. While their parents are at work, these centers offer secure environments for kids to grow, learn, and play.

Happy Crew, Happy Customers: Harry Noche’s McDonald’s Story



Harry Noche, a 19-year-old service crew member at McDonald's in Lemery, Batangas, exemplifies the company's employee-first philosophy: a satisfied employee who provides exceptional customer service. He serves customers with a smile and enthusiasm, even after a long day at school.  

"McDo 'yung nagbigay ng opportunity po para sa ‘kin. Parang McDo po 'yung nag nagbukas ng daan para makapag-aral po ako sa college,” (McDonald's gave me an opportunity. It’s like McDonald's opened the road for me to pursue my college education. Malapit lang sa amin ang McDo. Mga two kilometers. Mga ten minutes andun na po ako (McDonald's is close to where I live, about two kilometers away. It only takes around ten minutes to get there.). Noong makapasok po ako sa McDo natuto po akong makipag-socialize parang humanap ng maraming friends. Para pong tumaas ang aking self-confidence (When I started working at McDonald's, I learned how to socialize and make many friends. It really helped boost my self-confidence). Friendly po 'yung mga kasamahan ko sa trabaho, pati mga managers. Maganda po ang work culture kaya namo-motivate kami. Naging Crew of the Month po ako. Nakaka-proud at nakaka-build ng self-confidence (My coworkers, as well as the managers, are friendly. The work culture is great, which keeps me motivated. I was even recognized as Crew of the Month, which makes me proud and builds my confidence even more.). Dahil sa McDo, marami pong mga lessons learned na natutunan ko po. Then in the future mai-apply ko pa siya. Isa na 'yung work hard tapos makakamit mo po 'yung success. Do your best lang palagi (At McDonald's, I learned many valuable lessons that I can apply in the future. One of them is that if you work hard, you will achieve success. McDonald's "Ride the Arches" and "Night Classroom" Win Big at PANATA Awards



At the recent PANATA Brand Effectiveness Awards 2024, which were held at the Seda Hotel Bonifacio Global City, McDonald's Philippines emerged victorious, winning multiple Gold Awards for its noteworthy campaigns, "Night Classroom" and “Ride the Arches.”




A prestigious panel of professionals from the media, advertising, and academic domains judged the awards, which were given out by the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA). The 2024 PANATA Brand Effectiveness Awards honored both the industry's collective advancement as well as the successes of individual brands. The award, which is in its fifteenth year, has demonstrated how resilient brands can be in the face of difficult economic conditions by continuing to push the envelope and create new benchmarks for customer engagement.




"Night Classroom," which debuted in 2023 and is still going strong this year, took home four Golds in the categories of disruptive innovation, corporate sustainability and trust, brand effectiveness through customer experience, and efficient use of marketing communication channels (single medium-BTL). Through the initiative, McDonald's party areas were transformed into designated areas for late-night study sessions for both teachers and students, providing a convenient and secure environment for learning.




However, the massive QSR chain also won the Grand PANATA Award for its groundbreaking “Ride the Arches” campaign. This initiative saw McDonald's transform its restaurants into bike-friendly gathering spots with refueling stations, enticing riders to ride and eat along beautiful routes across the nation. “Ride the Arches” was also awarded Bronze in Corporate Sustainability and Brand Trust, Bronze in Customer Experience, Gold in Marketing Communication Channel - Single Medium BTL, and Bronze in Disruptive Innovation.





Barrameda took home the Rookie Brand Builder of the Year title, and McDonald's won Brand Team of the Year for “Ride the Arches.”

McDonald’s Stripes Run Offers Family Fun with Furry Friends, Registration Now Open



McDonald's Philippines recently declared that sign-ups are now being accepted for their yearly family fun run. Since its inception in 2010, the highly anticipated McDonald's Stripes Run has brought thousands of runners—and now their pets—together to wear striped socks, have a good time, and raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Philippines. 

This year's McDonald's Stripes Run, which takes place on December 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, aims to raise money to support RMHC's construction of more Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers across the nation. These Learning Centers offer early childhood education to children between the ages of two and four in a safe environment while their parents are at work. Currently, the nation is home to 43 Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers.

“We’re expecting over 10,000 participants this year. McDonald’s is about making feel-good moments happen with experiences that bring friends and families together in fun and special ways. What’s new with this year’s McDonald’s Stripes Run?

Participants in the McDonald's Stripes Run 2024 will have a choice between 10km, 5km, 3km, and 1km, depending on their experience level or whether they're just looking for a fun way to get together. In the 1km Fur Category, they can even decide to run alongside their furry child. The best part is that every competitor will receive a unique race kit to wear on race day, which includes a finisher's token, a race map, bib, adult and children's socks, breakfast on race day, and a race singlet. A dog bandana for their furry companion will be given to 1k Fur Stripes participants.

SB19 SAYS "Atin To?" for McDonald's Chicken McDo



The much malaki, much juicier, much crispier, and much sulit Chicken McDo is becoming increasingly popular among Filipinos! SB19, the P-Pop phenomenon, has now joined the cause and declared, "Atin 'to!for the improved and upgraded Chicken McDo that has a mouthwatering flavor.

The quick service restaurant's newest endorsers are superstars-to-be: SB19 members Pablo (John Paulo Nase), Ken (Felip Jhon Suson), Stell (Stellvester Ajero), Josh (Josh Cullen Santos), and Justin (Justin De Dios). This announcement marks the beginning of an exciting partnership.

Soon after, the band's love for Chicken McDo was showcased in an exclusive video for A'tin. The video encouraged the band's fans to try the song and adopt it as their own.

The star of the show is McDonald's one-piece Chicken McDo Sulit Busog Meal, available in all McDonald's restaurants nationwide for just Php99 and including rice and a drink.
