AirAsia Aviation confirms 14 new aircraft deliveries for 2025, citing strong market demand

The next phase of growth is secured, with 56 future aircraft fully financed, cementing AirAsia's return to pre-COVID growth and leadership as the world's best low-cost airline.

AirAsia Aviation Group ("AirAsia" or "the Group") is stepping up its aggressive expansion strategy with the announcement of 14 new aircraft deliveries in 2025, four directly from Airbus and ten through lessors.  This strategic fleet expansion is expected to support rising travel demand in Asean and beyond, bolstering AirAsia's position as the leading low-cost carrier.

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Asia Pacific passenger numbers will grow by 7.9% in 2025, the fastest rate in the world, owing to economic recovery, competitive fares, and government-led tourism campaigns.  Reflecting this momentum, AirAsia's internal guidance calls for 70 million passengers in FY2025, an 11% increase over last year.  To accomplish this, the Group is increasing capacity, improving connectivity, and optimizing its network for maximum efficiency.  With a strong emphasis on operational excellence and cost leadership, AirAsia's immediate priorities are to increase domestic market share and improve Fly-Thru connectivity across all operating markets, while in the medium term, it will consider expanding into key global destinations to bring new destinations to guests.

AirAsia's Asean market leadership positions the airline as a vital link to major international markets, providing seamless access to destinations in Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.  The airline's extensive short-haul network, which is anchored by mega hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, as well as hubs in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia, improves regional connectivity and serves as a springboard for long-haul expansion.

“We’ve had a great start to 2025, and we are excited as AirAsia’s future growth is fully secured, with the next 56 aircraft already financed. This gives us an unmatched runway for expansion, allowing us to scale with absolute certainty whilst delivering the most affordable and reliable travel experience. This is more than about expanding our fleet— it’s about putting more flights where our guests need them most, opening up new destinations, and making travel even more seamless and affordable. Every aircraft we deploy is a step toward giving our guests more choices, better connections, and the best value in the skies. We are accelerating towards pre-pandemic growth rates faster than anticipated, and this expansion is a testament to our confidence in the market’s strength. Demand is up, load factors and yields remain strong, and we are laser-focused on route optimisations with a disciplined focus on cost efficiency. This positions AirAsia steadily to seize future growth opportunities and with the latest aircraft technology, we are future-proofing our operations for the next decade, setting the foundation for long-term, sustainable growth.” ~Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group

With the upcoming aviation corporate exercise, AirAsia plans to consolidate its network by combining the efficiency of its short haul routes with the reach of its long haul operations.   Furthermore, the Airbus A321XLR and A321LR will revolutionize low-cost regional and long-haul connectivity, while the Airbus A330 fleet will be optimized for long-haul routes to support AirAsia's expansion into new intercontinental markets.  This strategically planned fleet expansion will enable the airline to cut costs while increasing fuel efficiency, ensuring a long-term and cost-effective growth model.

As one of the world's fastest-recovering airlines, AirAsia is on track to match or exceed its pre-pandemic growth rate.  The confirmed aircraft deliveries will support high-demand routes, enable new market entries, and increase overall operational capacity, reinforcing AirAsia's position as the region's leading low-cost carrier.  With strong market demand and a commitment to affordability, AirAsia continues to shape the future of low-cost travel while solidifying its position as a global aviation powerhouse.

Yes to Churrasco, Please! Century Park Hotel Levels Up the Buffet Dining Experience

Yes to Churrasco, Please! Century Park Hotel Levels Up the Buffet Dining Experience

With the IATF Alert Level easing up in Metro Manila, hotel and restaurant buffets have been making a comeback. While some customers may have second thoughts about dining-in, an establishment’s safety protocols and DOT Safety Seal in place are enough assurances for guests that they can dine safely and dine well.  Indeed, foodies are raring to conquer the restaurant scene again.

Century Park Hotel, one of the finest hotels in Manila, has always been known for its lunch and dinner buffets.  Its generous array of appetizers, mains, and desserts are sought-after. Each day of the week showcased a specific theme: Filipino, Western and Chinese to name a few. Prior to the pandemic, its Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet was gaining steam. Things took a standstill when the lockdown was imposed and outlet operations were put on hold. This did not deter the hotel from rising to the occasion and prepared instead for a remarkable comeback.

“The challenge was not just to bring back our popular buffet but to create a better and more pleasant dining experience. The pandemic has been an opportunity for us to reassess what we have and introduce a mix of the tried & tested together with a new concept to our buffet offering.” ~Anthony Tan, Century Park Hotel’s General Manager

Head out to Century Park Hotel and be sure to try the Lunch and Dinner Churrasco Buffet. Due to insistent demand, what was initially a 2-day run per week (lunch only) is now a regular 3-day operation (Wednesday to Friday) and now serves Lunch (11:00 AM – 2:30 PM) AND Dinner (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM) as well.

“The high turnout of our reservations, as well as walk-in volume, prompted us to increase our operational times. Guests have been clamoring for our buffet for quite some time now and we are truly happy with the feedback.” ~Anthony Tan, Century Park Hotel’s General Manager

What makes churrasco special? Also known as Brazilian barbecue, 19th century horseback riders or gauchos who lived in rural areas had easy access to cattle.  They would roast the beef on skewers over an open fire which brought out the natural flavor of the mouthwatering meat.

Churrasco is traditionally enjoyed with a big number of people, gauchos would go around the tables where their friends and family are gathered, serving unlimited slabs of beef from the skewers.  This style of serving is called rodizio.

Nowadays, restaurant staff continuously go around the tables with their skewers and serve the diners when they see the green marker which means the guest wants more servings.  Once the marker is flipped on the red side, this is an indicator that the guest has already had his/her fill. A variety of sauces like chimichurri, peri-peri and salsa verde together with side dishes help enhance the taste of the meats.

“At Century Park Hotel, guests can have their meats served ala-rodizio.  Other dishes are placed on the buffet spread where diners are free to help themselves.  This is what makes our Churrasco Buffet one-of-a-kind.” ~Anthony Tan, Century Park Hotel’s General Manager

Experience the Churrasco Buffet first hand at Café in the Park.  The first 10 reservations will get a P200 off.  Call 0917-6332497 now to make your reservation.
