Sony Philippines Boosts the Energy with New ULT POWER SOUND Lineup and Star-Studded ULT Squad

Beyond the Beat brings together Sony’s latest ULT speakers, live performances, music, and style for an immersive celebration at COVE Manila.

Sony Philippines' Beyond the Beat: The Next-Level ULT POWER SOUND Experience, held at COVE Manila in Okada Manila, featured music, style, and powerful sound.

Designed as Sony Philippines' largest ULT POWER SOUND launch in the country, the event drew fans and guests from MySony General Admission, Elite, and Platinum tiers, as well as industry guests.

The event also featured the Sony ULT Squad, with SB19 making their debut as the newest addition to the roster. Maki, KAIA, Jeremy G, A-Team, Carlos Serrano III, David Guison, Angelique Manto-Guison, Jacqueline Jala are also part of the ULT Squad, bringing together some of the country's most exciting artists and personalities.

New ULT Speakers Take Center Stage

Sony Philippines set the tone for an evening centered on music and immersive sound with opening remarks from Shuhei Sugihara, President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines. Keira Ambubuyog, Product Marketing Specialist of Sony Philippines, followed with an introduction to the newest ULT POWER SOUND speakers, showcasing Sony’s latest developments in high-powered audio. Arbie Bandiling, Senior Marketing Communications Executive of Personal Audio Systems, then presented the newest ULT Squad Video, officially bringing together the artists and personalities behind the ULT POWER SOUND experience.

At the heart of the event was Sony’s latest speaker lineup: the ULT TOWER 5, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER MAX. Each model is designed around powerful sound, deeper bass, and features suited for parties and social gatherings. The speakers incorporate newly developed large circular woofers, large-capacity speaker cabinets, and ULT DUCT technology to deliver stronger low-frequency bass performance.

The ULT TOWER MAX takes the lead with the most powerful bass in the ULT POWER SOUND series to date. The ULT TOWER 7 delivers stage-worthy audio in a portable form, while the more compact ULT TOWER 5 combines powerful bass with karaoke and DJ features for smaller celebrations.

The event also gave guests opportunities to experience the products beyond traditional demonstrations. Step into the Beat combined an arcade-style environment, stacked ULT Towers, and a dance pad, while ULT Selfie Club created an energetic space for photos. ULT Cover Star allowed guests to style themselves alongside ULT Field speakers and designer pieces from Alser Lumawag. For KOLs and VIP guests, The Bass District offered a nightlife-inspired setting, while the Karaoke Lounges showcased the new speakers’ entertainment and party capabilities.

Meet the Faces of the ULT Squad

The Sony ULT Squad showcased a vibrant mix of Filipino talent, bringing together artists, performers, creators, and style personalities who each contributed their own energy and individuality to the event.

Hosting the celebration was fashion influencer and ULT Squad member Angelique Manto-Guison. A-Team opened the performances with an energetic set, followed by Carlos Serrano III, who brought his distinctive stage presence to the ULT stage. David Guison and Jacqueline Jala  joined the ULT Models for a fashion-forward showcase, while Jeremy G added his musical flair to the evening.

The lineup continued with KAIA, whose youthful energy and contemporary pop sound energized the crowd, and Maki, who delivered a performance reflecting his recognizable musical style. The night reached its highlight with SB19, appearing for the first time as the newest members of the Sony ULT Squad. Their addition brings together Sony’s audio technology and SB19’s influence in Filipino music, reinforcing the ULT Squad’s role in celebrating artists and personalities who continue to shape contemporary music culture.
