Goodday Friz Breaks Guinness World Records™ for the Largest Carbonated Beverage Party with 766 Participants

Goodday Friz, a carbonated cultured milk drink, made a Guinness World Record-breaking debut.  The gathering drew 766 Filipinos to establish a new world record for the Largest Carbonated Beverage Party.

The event, aptly named "Making Friztory," took place on July 30, 2025, at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Bridgetowne, Quezon City. It was a crazy good fusion of pop, fizz and joy.  The audience hoisted cans of Goodday Friz in a synchronized toast, gaining the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for Largest Carbonated Beverage Party.  The once-in-a-lifetime celebration marked a watershed moment in beverage history.

Industry leaders Lance Gokongwei, President and CEO of JG Summit Holdings, Inc, and Asahi South, Central, and Southeast Asia Group CEO Erwin Selvarajah were also in attendance at the Goodday Friz launch, which marked the start of an exciting collaboration that will redefine the beverage landscape in the Philippines.

The record-breaking crowd of 766 Goodday Friz enjoyers, alongside members of Cloud 7, raised their cans of Goodday Friz during the historic attempt. 


CLOUD 7, the growing P-pop sensation, was revealed as Goodday's first brand ambassador, adding to the frenzy.  During the record-breaking occasion, the crowd was energized by their powerful live performance.  CLOUD 7 also performed a fun dance version of "Soda Pop" to commemorate the occasion.

The excitement didn't end there; guests were treated to Goodday Friz-themed activities such as "Friz Fill-Up Frenzy," in which players caught fizzy bubbles, cultured milk, and oranges to fill a virtual can, and "Friz Fuzed," a jigsaw challenge to find the right way to Friz.

Home to the Southern Tagalog Regional Office (STRO), the Sto. Tomas Plant facility is PCPPI's most modern bottle production site to date. The new PET line, which produces carbonated soft drinks in highly recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, increases production capacity while reaffirming the company's commitment to sustainability and circularity.

Commitment to Food Safety

PCPPI continues to embody the finest way to demonstrate excellence: commitment and consistency.  The corporation operates 12 manufacturing plants around the country, including Sto.  Tomas obtained recommendations for the coveted Food Safety System Certification (FSSC), which is a globally recognized standard.




FSSC certification gives PCPPI a significant competitive advantage in the market because it validates the company's ability to produce safe food and packaging products, reduce operational risks, implement resource optimization initiatives, strengthen supply chain partnerships, and adhere to rigorous food safety protocols.

The FSSC-recommended facilities include plants in Santo Tomas, Muntinlupa, San Fernando, Rosario, Davao, Bacolod, Naga, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Tanauan, and Cebu City.


Sustainability at the Core

Sustainability practices are deeply embedded in the Sto. Tomas plant’s daily operations. PCPPI’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) milestones highlight its progress on multiple fronts:
  • 13,000 metric tons of post-consumer plastic collected under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Law
  • 237 million liters of water saved through conservation and reuse technologies
  • 44% reduction in inventory losses thanks to improved supply chain and planning systems

Building the Future



Following its recently finished Annual Stockholders' Meeting, PCPPI confirmed its transformation strategy based on innovation, agility, and responsible business practices.  As the organization prepares for its next phase in 2025, the Sto.  Tomas plant is a critical enabler of this journey.
