“Alagang Paningin, Alagang MR.DIY” Optical Mission brings clarity to CarSiGMA Communities

Beneficiaries of all ages eagerly await their turn for eye check-up at the Alagang Paningin, Alagang MR.DIY Optical Mission

General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) of Cavite and the people of Silang did not let the gray skies stop them from traveling to Bulihan National High School in Silang for the "Alagang Paningin, Alagang MR.DIY" optical mission.

Excitement was high at the event as 400 adults and 100 children from Silang took advantage of vital eye care services—a unique chance to have their eyes checked for better vision.

Ms. Marla Papas, Integrated Marketing Communications Manager of MR.DIY, shares the importance of taking care of one’s eyesight and the objectives of MR.DIY’s Acts of Kindness Campaign. 

This initiative, which is a component of MR.DIY's larger CSR program, Acts of Kindness (AOK), demonstrates the company's unwavering commitment to empowering and enabling communities by utilizing the force of goodwill to address healthcare needs in collaboration with the local government units of Carmona, Silang, and GMA (CarSiGMA).

Dr. Dahlia Loyola, the mayor of Carmona, stressed the value of eye health in her speech to the community. She told anecdotes of how improved vision can change people's lives by boosting adult productivity and assisting children in achieving academic success.

The 'Alagang Paningin, Alagang MR.DIY' Optical Mission catered to 500 beneficiaries from the towns of Carmona, Silang and GMA (CarSiGMA) in Cavite.

In the meantime, Ms. Marla Papas, MR.DIY's Integrated Marketing Communications Manager, outlined the objectives of the company's Acts of Kindness Campaign and emphasized the need of taking care of one's eyesight, a crucial but frequently disregarded component of health.

In order to detect visual problems and maintain good eye health, optometrists carefully evaluate each patient based on the specific requirements related to their eye care.

Mayor Dahlia Loyola of Carmona, Cavite, who is also a medical doctor, welcomes the beneficiaries of the Alagang Paningin, Alagang MR.DIY Optical Mission.

Selected patients received reading glasses, while more advanced cases received referrals for prescription eyewear and cataract surgery, courtesy of the local government.
