As summer travel demand soars and long weekends approach, AirAsia Philippines cautions visitors to be wary of online travel scams.
AirAsia recently received accusations of internet scammers impersonating real travel firms, utilizing forged business registrations to persuade travelers of their legality and trick them into booking.
To protect its visitors, AirAsia strongly warns against booking through unverified websites and social media pages, particularly those that request personal information or promote discounts that appear too good to be true.
In 2024, AirAsia Philippines blocked 51 accounts related with scam occurrences, indicating improved fraud detection methods.
“As technology evolves, scammers constantly advance their tactics to keep up with the ever-changing landscape. We strongly advise travelers to book flights only through airasia.com or the airasia MOVE App. To verify legitimacy of promos and seat sales, guests can cross-check via our website if they are reflected on our system." ~First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head
As the World's Best Low-Cost Airline, AirAsia stays devoted to providing the best value for travelers by running numerous promotions virtually every week, ensuring inexpensive tickets without the need to book through unverified Facebook pages or unlicensed websites.
Guests can access AirAsia’s accredited travel website and agencies here.
Furthermore, passengers can look forward to lower fare promos this April, following the Civil Aeronautics Board’s (CAB) adjustment of fuel surcharges to Level 4. This change means guests can expect reduced fees ranging from PHP 117 to PHP 342 for domestic flights and PHP 385.70 to PHP 2,867.82 for international flights, depending on the destination.
