One of the many indicators of a good workplace is the degree to which employees feel valued and engaged. Throughout its 35-year history, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI) has served as a hub for character development, personal growth, and community service.
PCPPI provides an environment in which individuals, known as Bravehearts, can prosper professionally and personally.
Ailyn Caudilla and Armando Mandigma have two such growth stories to share, demonstrating how PCPPI's values motivate its employees.
Aileen Caudilla never expected to have a long career at PCPPI. She began in the Naga office, where she not only gained professional experience as a part of the Human Resources (HR) team, but also had possibilities for personal development.
Working with different personalities assists her to improve her communication and organizational abilities. She sought assistance from senior members of her team to have a better knowledge of PCPPI's culture, which was relevant to her work. Today, she maintains her humility and readiness to listen.
“It has been challenging experience but I have learned so much. When I started in the company, my confidence was low. but as I’ve learned to balance my daily tasks with the Bukluran Council, I’ve seen how I’ve grown professionally and personally.” ~Ailyn Caudilla,
She developed a good eye for detail while working at PCPPI, where she was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including managing direct reports and payroll.
Aside from ensuring that employee-company relations run smoothly, Ailyn also serves as president of her office's Bukluran Council. The Bukluran Council is made up of PCPPI personnel that oversee and facilitate engagement programs in their area.
Using her experience as an HR Assistant, she links representatives from PCPPI's many departments to create a year's worth of socio-civic events that align with the organization's values. Working with partner schools is part of the Department of Education's annual Brigada Eskwela initiative.

“We have to conduct refresher training sessions for all our people, and even third-party partners who frequent the plant. Engagement is key, because workplace safety and security do not solely rest on one person or one team’s shoulders.” ~Armando Mandigma
