TCL, a prominent global technology firm and Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, commemorated the conclusion of the Olympic Winter Games today, marking a watershed moment in both sporting performance and technological advancement. Throughout Milano Cortina 2026, TCL played an important part in improving how spectators, players, and global audiences enjoyed the event, leveraging its latest innovations to help transmit the greatest human sporting exploits with unprecedented clarity, scale, and emotional impact.
TCL provided more than 330 TV screens and 300 commercial display units at the International Broadcast Center (IBC), the hub of global coverage, allowing broadcasters and media professionals to watch every moment in exceptional detail and support the seamless transmission of each event to millions of viewers worldwide. TCL smart home appliances provided athletes with comfort across the Olympic Villages, while particularly tuned display systems enabled the "Athlete Moment," allowing for over 350 emotional interactions between athletes and loved ones.
The emotion and drama of Milano Cortina 2026 were reflected in the stories of the athletes TCL supports as members of Team TCL, whose tenacity and quest of perfection inspired people all around the world to realize their own greatness and go beyond personal limitations in their daily lives. While these athletes' dedication resulted in amazing performances, their spirit revealed that true greatness exists beyond the podium, representing the message of TCL's "It's Your Greatness" campaign.
“Since our founding in 1981, TCL’s focus has been to create technology designed to improve lives. As we mark our first year as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, we have been proud to use that expertise to empower the Olympic Games for audiences across the world. The real impact of innovation is in helping to put human stories front and center on one of the biggest stages in sport.” ~Li Dongsheng, Founder and Chairman of TCL
Beyond competitive venues, TCL engaged the public directly in a series of immersive activities, beginning with its "Wishes For Greatness" Winter Wonderland in preparation for the Olympic Winter Games. The event, which was installed in Milan's Piazza del Duomo during the holiday season to accentuate the city's 29-meter-tall Tree of Milano Cortina 2026, featured sport-themed igloos and seasonal displays, creating a bright area for fun and celebration.
TCL Edelweiss Land, located on Milan's Piazza Duca d'Aosta in front of the city's principal train station, was also open throughout the festival. The immersive area, which covered more than 500 square meters, welcomed over 91,000 guests to learn about TCL's latest inventions, such as next-generation home appliances, SQD (Super Quantum Dot) Mini-LED televisions, and TCL RayNeo augmented reality smart glasses. The display combined technology and creativity, as well as customizable keepsakes, to provide visitors with memorable experiences. TCL also collaborated with the Olympic Museum, painter and Olympian Zeina Rashid, and 3D mural artist Bublegum to create a colorful mural in central Milan. Inspired by Zeina's early recollections of watching the Olympic Winter Games on television, the mural combined sport, art, and technology to highlight the Olympic Games' distinctive cultural effect.
“The Olympic Games are becoming more connected, more digital, more global. TCL technology is transforming how the Olympic Games are experienced, making every moment immersive and emotional. Our partnership is based on shared values — innovation with purpose, always inspiring greatness. Together, we will continue to bring the Olympic Games closer to athletes, fans, and communities around the world." ~Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee
TCL now looks ahead to the Paralympic Winter Games, which will be held from March 6 to 15, and will feature six winter sports: para Alpine skiing, para biathlon, para cross-country skiing, para ice hockey, and para snowboarding. TCL will proudly support its two Team TCL athletes, accomplished Brazilian wheelchair racer and skier Aline Rocha and Brazilian para cross-country skier Cristian Ribera, as they compete on a global scale, inspiring others with their tenacity and dedication.
With a long-term commitment as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, the firm is excited to expand on the strong foundations laid at Milano Cortina 2026. TCL will continue to invest in innovation, demonstrating how its technology can improve how people watch and enjoy the Olympic and Paralympic Games for many years to come.
