PCPPI advocates for high-quality education and backs Brigada Eskwela of the DepEd

Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI), upholding the Filipino spirit of Bayanihan, is still fully supporting the Department of Education's (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela Program. As part of the company’s sustainability commitments and in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, PCPPI has been extending support to local schools and communities since 2014.

“PCPPI values education and acknowledges the vital role that the youth play in nation-building. This is why we continuously support Brigada Eskwela as it brings communities together to build an environment conducive for learning.” ~Atty. Carina Bayon, PCPPI Chief Environmental, Social and Governance Officer

Brigada Eskwela is a national school maintenance initiative that was started in 2003 and invites teachers, volunteers, private organizations, and other stakeholders to participate in order to make sure that school facilities are ready for the upcoming academic year.

With the fitting theme of “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan,” this year's program encourages greater community and private sector cooperation to support the nation's educational institutions and system.

For this worthwhile cause, more than 200 PCPPI volunteers from 15 locations across the nation donated their time and efforts.

This year, PCPPI collaborated with nineteen public schools to provide school supplies, health and safety equipment, cleaning supplies, building and maintenance supplies, and refreshments. In addition to these donations, PCPPI staff members oversaw community service initiatives like teaching waste management, organizing school cleanups, maintaining school buildings, and removing ornamental and vegetable gardens.

Being the nation's sole producer of well-known PepsiCo beverages, PCPPI upholds its pledge to give Filipino students a better future.

PCPPI manufactures and sells well-known beverage brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7Up, Mirinda, Mug, Gatorade, Sting, Tropicana, Lipton Iced Tea, Milkis, Chum Churum Soonhari, and Premier.
