Experience the thrill of flavorful heat! Panda Express introduces a new American Chinese classic, Spicy Bourbon Chicken, in the Philippines



The heat is officially on! Panda Express Philippines has just launched its newest American Chinese sweet and spicy, flavor-packed dish, Spicy Bourbon Chicken, which is now available for a limited time.

This unique entrée is a delicious take on a Southern American classic: bourbon chicken. The dish consists of crispy boneless chicken bites and fresh vegetables wok-tossed in a spicy and sweet bourbon sauce, then topped with sesame seeds. Spicy Bourbon Chicken features a crispy chicken coating for an addictive, comforting flavor in every bite.






To commemorate its launch, Panda Express held an exclusive media event on February 12, 2025, at its SM Mall of Asia location, where invited guests had the opportunity to sample a new American Chinese classic, Spicy Bourbon Chicken. The event included a live cooking demonstration and kitchen tour led by Resident Chef Israel Mata, who has worked for Panda Express Philippines since it first opened in the country in 2019. During the event, guests could also visit an exclusive Spice Bowl Bar and customize their Spicy Bourbon Chicken meals with side dishes to find the best match for their spice tolerance.

Panda Express® opens new store in Downtown Manila

A Panda sighting to welcome the Year of the Tiger! Panda Express®, the world’s largest American Chinese dining concept, is ringing in Lunar New Year with a new store scheduled to open on Feb. 19 at Level 1, Pedro Gil Wing, Robinsons Place in Ermita, Manila.

The new store will be the sixth Panda Express in the whole Metro Manila area, since opening its first location at SM Megamall in Ortigas, Pasig City in late 2019. 

The continuous expansion of Panda Express is a response to the clamor and cravings of Filipinos for delicious American Chinese cuisine, particularly, Panda’s world-famous entrée, The Original Orange Chicken®, a crispy chicken dish wok-tossed in a sweet and tangy sauce; or Panda’s award-winning Honey Walnut Shrimp, a mouth-watering entrée made with premium crispy shrimp wok-tossed in a honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts.

As part of celebrating Lunar New Year, Panda Express is offering its Family Feast in special carriers. Families can customize their entrees and sides with all their Panda favorites in a Family Feast.

For health-conscious foodies, Panda’s Wok Smart® entrees offer dishes with at least eight grams of protein and 300 or less calories, such as Panda’s Black Pepper Chicken, a flavorful stir-fry with marinated chicken, celery and onion, coated in a bold black pepper sauce; or Kung Pao Chicken, a Sichuan-inspired dish made with chicken, fresh vegetables, crunchy peanuts and dried chilis for a slight kick; and the classic Broccoli Beef, a tender beef entrée with fresh broccoli wok-tossed in a savory ginger soy sauce. 

Panda Express also offers plant-based options on its menu. A fan-favorite entrée, Eggplant Tofu, is the ultimate comfort food made with lightly browned tender tofu that is crispy on the outside, simmered in a sweet and spicy sauce with eggplant and red bell peppers and pairs well with White Steamed Rice, Mixed Vegetables and some Veggie Spring Rolls.

Panda Express® Brings New Honey Sesame Chicken Entrée to Town

Available for a limited time only, Panda’s Honey Sesame Chicken is made with thin, crispy strips of all-white meat chicken raised without antibiotics and tossed with fresh-cut string beans, and crisp red bell peppers. It is coated in a delicious honey sauce and topped off with sesame seeds.

Panda Express® Heading to South of Metro Manila

The world’s largest American Chinese dining concept is set to open its third restaurant on June 11, 2021, in the busy commercial block of Double Dragon Meridian Park in Pasay City. This will be its first store in the south and the third in the country, after launching its first location in SM Megamall in 2019 and second in SM North Edsa.

The world’s largest American Chinese dining concept is set to open its third restaurant on June 11, 2021, in the busy commercial block of Double Dragon Meridian Park in Pasay City. Following the blockbuster launch of its first restaurant opening at the SM Megamall in 2019 and its second store in SM City North EDSA last February, American Chinese trailblazer Panda Express is proud to announce the debut of its third restaurant located at Double Dragon Meridian Park in Pasay City.



American Chinese Classics

The Panda Express menu includes a variety of entrées with influences from the eight traditional cuisines of China. Its bestselling the Original Orange Chicken™, crispy chicken wok-tossed in sweet and tangy sauce, is inspired by Panda Express co-founder Andrew Cherng’s hometown flavors of Yangzhou, China.  

The Original Orange Chicken™ is the signature dish of Panda Express. It is a crispy chicken entrée, wok-tossed in a sweet and spicy orange sauce.


An irresistible combo of sweet and crispy, Panda Express’ Honey Walnut Shrimp is made with large tempura-battered shrimp that is lightly coated in a unique honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts.

The new Mongolian Pork entrée features a savory, umami flavor profile - combining a hint of sweetness from the caramelized onions, scallions, red peppers, and mushrooms with the smokiness of the seared pork.  

The American Chinese restaurant brand also recently introduced two new dishes to the Philippine menu. First is the Panda Express signature pescatarian-friendly dish Honey Walnut Shrimp™, which is a Canton dish inspired by Western influence that is made with large and crispy tempura-battered shrimp, lightly coated in the unique honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts.

As another best-selling international dish, Mongolian Pork is a classic American Chinese dish made with tender pork shoulder and crisp vegetables, wok-tossed in a savory garlic soy sauce.
