Out and About with Cetaphil Sun: #GotYouCovered While You Touch Grass

In a society where being continuously online is the norm, more Filipinos are experiencing the effects of digital weariness. Long hours in front of computers, fast-paced routines, and limited access to peaceful locations have left many people feeling both overstimulated and detached.

Responding to the growing need to unplug and reconnect, Cetaphil Sun hosted the Cetaphil Sun Crawl, titled Out and About with Cetaphil Sun: Expert Sun Protection #GotYouCovered, a thoughtfully curated day of outdoor experiences designed to encourage presence, movement, and meaningful connection, all while remaining protected from the sun.

The Cetaphil Sun Crawl, inspired by the growing "touch grass" movement, reimagines common outdoor experiences as opportunities to recharge without fear of sun harm. Because being outside should not be a source of concern, especially when your skin is protected by #GotYouCovered experts.

A Morning in Motion

The day began with a brief morning run, which set the tone for an exciting start outside. Led by fitness coach Cass Salandan, the visitors, who included fitness personalities, outdoor enthusiasts, and lifestyle content creators, were directed through an approachable yet stimulating exercise meant to get them moving.

A full-body warm-up preceded the 20-minute LIIT (Low Intensity Interval Training) workout, which concluded with a squat-and-shuttle. It ended with a focused cool-down to return participants to a condition of relaxation. The event prompted participants to reconnect with their bodies, to move with intention rather than intensity.

Wellness, Slowed Down

From dance to mindfulness, visitors moved into a Wellness Wind Down in Washington Sycip Park, where the tempo slowed and the focus switched inward.

Carina Silverio, yoga coach and mindfulness teacher, led the class, which began with a gentle welcome and grounding practice to help participants settle into the room. This was followed by guided movement and breath work, which are basic, accessible activities that help to relieve tension and bring awareness back to the body.

Participants next engaged in an outdoor connection exercise that promoted reflection and presence in both the environment and the group. The event ended with silent repose and integration, allowing for serenity, which is often lacking in daily routines.

Expert Conversations

The day finished with an intimate supper, which brought guests together for meaningful discussions about modern wellness and skin health.

Dermatologist Dr. Gaile Robredo-Vitas emphasized the growing importance of balance in today's hyperconnected environment. As people seek more purposeful offline experiences, even basic outdoor activities such as strolling, dining outside, or spending time with friends can greatly boost overall well-being.

However, in a nation like the Philippines, where UV exposure is a daily occurrence, these brief outside experiences have a cumulative effect on the skin. Prolonged exposure can cause sensitivity, dehydration, early aging, and long-term harm.

Dr. Robredo-Vitas noted that good sun care today extends beyond protection. It must also promote hydration and reinforce the skin barrier, particularly for individuals exposed to heat, pollution, and urban pressures. Gentle, well-formulated solutions are essential for reducing irritation while maintaining comfort for everyday wear.

Finally, skin protection should feel empowering, not restrictive. People can confidently spend more time outside, fully immersed in real-world experiences, thanks to modern, science-backed formulations that are lightweight and gentle on sensitive skin.

#GotYouCovered Wherever You Go

The Cetaphil Sun Crawl serves as a reminder that "touching grass" does not mean stepping off the grid, but rather achieving balance in little, everyday ways. Whether it's a morning run, a peaceful stroll in the park, or simply getting outside, these purposeful behaviors can break the cycle of digital tiredness.

With Cetaphil Sun, outdoor time becomes what it should be: liberating, simple, and stress-free. Because caring for your skin allows you to stay longer, connect deeper, and completely experience life outside of the screen.

Cetaphil Sun is available at all leading retailers like Watsons and Mercury Drugstore, and in all leading e-commerce such as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.

With Derm on Tour, Cetaphil Brings Professional Skin Advice Nearer to Filipinos

Cetaphil has officially launched Cetaphil SkinLabs: Derm On Tour, a statewide project aimed at bringing expert skin advice directly to Filipino communities.

Building on the success of Cetaphil SkinLabs in 2025, the brand's immersive science-led platform, Derm On Tour is the next stage in Cetaphil's commitment to converting dermatological research into practical, everyday skincare information for Filipinos.

Some of the country's top personalities attended the launch event, including Anne Curtis, Catriona Gray, Donny Pangilinan, Hannah Pangilinan, Atasha Muhlach, Kaila Estrada, and Cassy Legaspi, as well as Cetaphil Baby ambassadors Nico Bolzico, Andi Manzano, Jess Wilson, and Laura Lehmann.

Together with dermatologists and pediatric experts, these individuals worked to highlight the need of science-backed skincare and expert advice, particularly for Filipinos with sensitive skin.

Beyond just a commercial event, the launch signaled the beginning of a larger movement: delivering dermatological education to average Filipinos and enabling them to better understand their skin.

“Sensitive skin is more common than many people think, yet access to expert skincare guidance isn’t always easy. Derm On Tour is our way of bringing dermatological expertise closer to Filipino communities—so people can better understand their skin and make informed decisions about skincare.” ~Mark Joseph Sarmiento, Cetaphil Business Unit Head

Science-Backed Skincare for Every Skin Story

Throughout the event, board-certified dermatologists and pediatric experts were present in every part, explaining the science underlying sensitive skin and facilitating discussions about correct skincare routines. Their attendance reaffirmed Cetaphil's long-standing reputation as a brand trusted and recommended by dermatologists around the world.

Guests were also welcome to stop by the Derm On Tour booths, where they could explore interactive skincare stations and get free dermatologist consultations, allowing them to better understand their personal skin concerns and receive expert advice firsthand.

Dermatologists emphasized how modern lifestyles—pollution, blue light exposure, stress, and lack of sleep—can have a substantial influence on skin health, especially for those with sensitive skin.

This science-first approach is key to Cetaphil's philosophy: providing clinically proven skincare treatments that are both effective and soothing on sensitive skin.

Among the innovations exhibited at the event were the newest Advanced Defence AM Serum and restoration & Renew PM Serum, which are designed to work together to help defend the skin from daily environmental stressors while promoting nightly restoration.

Celebrities Share Their Personal Skin Journeys

The presence of Cetaphil ambassadors heightened the excitement of the event, as they shared their unique skincare experiences and how understanding their skin has influenced their routines.

Anne Curtis, an actress and lifelong Cetaphil enthusiast, believes that skincare is about finding solutions that work consistently despite a busy schedule.

“Life can get busy with work and family, so I appreciate skincare that’s effective but uncomplicated. Cetaphil has always been about gentle care that works, and that’s something I truly value.” ~Anne Curtis, Cetaphil Advocate

Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray spoke about the importance of protecting the skin from everyday stressors.

“When you’re constantly on the go, your skin goes through a lot. Learning from my derma about how to defend and repair the skin barrier really changed how I approach my skincare routine.” ~Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2018

The younger generation of ambassadors, including Donny Pangilinan, Hannah Pangilinan, and Atasha Muhlach, also encouraged young Filipinos to go beyond online skincare trends and seek expert guidance on caring for their skin.

Meanwhile, Cetaphil Baby Ambassadors Nico Bolzico, Jess Wilson, Andi Manzano, and Laura Lehmann shared their own parenting experiences and the learning curve that comes with caring for delicate baby skin.

“Once you realize how delicate baby skin really is, you become much more mindful about the products you use. Having access to expert advice really helps you make better decisions for your child.” ~Andi Manzano, Cetaphil Baby Ambassador

Cassy Legaspi and Kaila Estrada, newly appointed ambassadors, believe that joining the Cetaphil family entails urging others to listen to their skin and choose gentle, science-based treatment.

Together, these voices underline Cetaphil's idea that everyone has a skin story and deserves access to expert skincare advice. This is a continuation of Cetaphil's broader campaign under #ForEveryonesSensitiveSkin, emphasizing the company's commitment to make sensitive skincare inclusive, accessible, and science-based.
