Myth Avenue Gaming, Fancy United secure the 2026 Predator Shield

The Asia-Pacific Predator League concluded in New Delhi, India. What began with 24 VALORANT and Dota 2 teams from 14 regions around Asia-Pacific ended with only the best of the best taking home the Predator Shield. 

To many people's surprise, rising Vietnamese squad Fancy United defeated fan favorite BOOM Esports on Day 1 of the event, winning the trophy and a $65,000 part of the prize pool. Young shot Hoàng "Twilight" Minh Dũng was an unstoppable force for the Vietnamese, racking up an amazing 40 kills during their series versus BOOM Esports. Twilight's efforts earned him the tournament MVP title and a $10,000 cash reward.

In Dota 2, Myth Avenue Gaming defended their Predator Shield against in-form REKONIX, who had earlier on Day 2 bested the Philippine squad InterActive Philippines. The series went all the way as the two squads proved equal in skill and mettle. The deciding Game 3 was a 41-minute brawl that showcased Myth Avenue Gaming’s dominance, allowing them to take home the Predator Shield anew and $65,000. Myth Avenue Gaming racked up 44 kills in the deciding game, with offlaner ‘egxrdemxn’ showing everyone why he deserved to be the MVP and take home $10,000. 

Philippine grit in full display

Throughout the South Asian LAN, Philippine teams went all out. Xipto Esports, lead by former Team Secret stalwart Emmanuel 'Emman' Morales, was instrumental in the VALORANT team's success, carrying the banner all the way to a Top 4 finish. Meanwhile, despite being a late addition to the Dota 2 roster, InterActive Philippines delivered some unexpected results.

Xipto Esports defeated APAC Predator League Philippine Champions Oasis Gaming in the event. Oasis Gaming went eliminated with a 1-2 record in the Group Stage, while Xipto Esports won their difficult Group C assignment. Xipto Esports lost to BOOM Esports in the semifinals, which featured international VALORANT superstar and former VCT Masters winner Nikita 'd3ffo' Sudakov. While they were unable to hoist the Predator Shield this time, Xipto Esports demonstrated their latent potential.

Indonesia’s REKONIX was InterActive Philippines’ (IAP) obstacle to reaching the grand finals. REKONIX was the team that sent IAP to the Lower Brackets, so IAP didn’t need any extra motivation to send the Indonesians packing in New Delhi. The match was a tightly contested affair that went all the way to three games. In the Winner-Take-All Game 3, a Slardar and Anti-Mage draft misfired for IAP, and REKONIX secured their Grand Finals slot.

At the conclusion of the tournament, it was officially announced that APAC Predator League 2027 will be held in Vietnam.

Road to Glory: Battle Commences in Predator League PH Qualifiers for ₱1.2 Million Prize

The fight for glory and honor has begun!  The Predator League returns with the 2026 Philippine Qualifiers, and it is bigger than ever.  With a Php 1.2 million prize fund and the Predator Shield at stake, teams from throughout the country will showcase their abilities and talent in Dota 2, VALORANT, and, for the first time in Predator League history, League of Legends.

The battle horn has sounded, and teams have answered the call.  Online and offline preliminaries began on September 19, providing every aspiring esports professional the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and launch their careers.

Acer and SB19 celebrate five years of collaboration with outstanding achievements

Before their "Simula at Wakas" world tour stop in Taipei, SB19 was invited to Acer's Taipei headquarters as "one-day employees." According to market research firm GfK, Acer dominated the Philippine personal computer market in Q1 2025, with a 35.7% total market share, 34.2% in consumer notebooks, and an astonishing 40.6% in gaming laptops.  Acer also performed well in April, with its laptop category capturing 36% of the market, reinforcing its domination.

Acer APAC Predator League 2025 Expands Gaming Tournament to Broader Community with Festivities

The sixth edition of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League by Acer begins today, presenting a grand regional esports tournament that has grown significantly since its inception in 2018. The APAC Predator League is being hosted in Malaysia for the first time, and the opening ceremony will be attended by Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh.

The APAC Predator League 2025 begins a new era with the introduction of two dynamic champions (avatars), Nero and Yuffy. These characters, created through a regional design competition, represent the Predator brand's pursuit of gaming excellence and tactical precision, adding a new level of excitement to the tournament. Nero and Yuffy's journey from childhood friends to formidable contenders emphasizes themes of rivalry, support, and inner strength, reflecting the Predator League's status as a venue for high-stakes battles that test both skill and character.

To increase the event's cultural engagement, the league introduces "It Lies Within," a new theme song performed in local languages by well-known artists from each region. The APAC Predator League includes Dota 2 and VALORANT, with teams of amateur and professional players showcasing their strategies and gameplay in the elimination rounds. Gamers in this year's Predator League have the Predator Orion X desktop, Predator XB253Q gaming monitor, Predator Galea 365 gaming headset, and Predator gaming chair.

The total prize pool for the tournament's qualifiers and winners is US$400,000. The APAC Predator League 2025 Grand Finals will feature 28 of the region's best esports teams vying for the coveted Predator Shield and a share of the tournament prize pool. The top four teams in each competition will receive the following prizes: Champion - USD 65,000, First Runner-up - USD 20,000, and Second and Third Runners-up - USD 7,500 each.
