Designed as a fun family Halloween experience, Harriwood invites kids and parents to dress up as their favorite movie characters and enter a world where the line between the audience and the cast disappears. The Kingsford Hotel Manila Halloween celebration will feature plenty of activities for kids and families, including Halloween food and treats, games, entertainment, trick-or-treating, a costume competition, and loot bags with giveaways. Savoy Hotel Manila Named Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel 2026

Savoy Hotel Manila has brought further recognition to Philippine hospitality after being named Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel 2026 and Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards.

The 2026 awards add to the hotel’s growing list of achievements, marking its sixth consecutive victory as the Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel and its second Asia-level recognition.

Socrates “Sonny” Alvaro, Managing Director of Megaworld Global Hotels & Resorts, said the recognition creates an opportunity to showcase Filipino hotel brands to a wider audience. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent standard of Filipino hospitality and guest service across the group’s properties.

“What makes this recognition meaningful is that it puts a spotlight on what is already strong about our hospitality: the destinations we represent, the people behind every stay, and the genuine care Filipinos naturally extend to Guests. Our responsibility is to keep strengthening the systems, people, and service standards that allow these qualities to be experienced consistently across our hotels, while giving our brands greater visibility across more markets and channels.” ~Socrates “Sonny” Alvaro, Managing Director of Megaworld Global Hotels & Resorts

Filipino by Design, Competitive by Standard

Savoy Hotel Manila’s latest recognition builds on a track record that began in 2021, when the property first earned the title of Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel. Since then, it has retained the Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel distinction each year, with its 2026 win adding another milestone to its regional hospitality journey.

The hotel’s guest experience is shaped by the Sampaguita Brand of Service, a service philosophy centered on Love, Honor, Dignity, and Healing. Across Megaworld Global Hotels & Resorts, these values are translated into everyday guest interactions through continuous training, established service standards, key guest touchpoints, and hotel operations.

At the same time, the approach allows individual properties to maintain a sense of place by incorporating the culture, people, and character of their respective destinations.

For MGHR, this balance becomes increasingly significant as its portfolio grows. The goal is to maintain a recognizable standard of Filipino hospitality across its hotels while ensuring that each property remains connected to the destination and community it represents.

Taking the Savoy Brand to More Philippine Destinations

Today, the Savoy brand operates in Manila, Boracay, and Mactan, Cebu.

The expansion of Savoy Hotel in the Philippines will continue with two upcoming destinations: Savoy Hotel Capital Town in San Fernando, Pampanga, featuring 374 rooms within Megaworld’s 35.6-hectare Capital Town development, and Savoy Hotel Palawan, located in Paragua Coastown in San Vicente.

With more properties joining the brand, maintaining a consistent Savoy Hotel service experience becomes increasingly important. New hotels are expected to follow the same operating discipline and service culture that define the brand, while also adapting their guest offerings to the local character, culture, and setting of each destination.

The Savoy brand is part of Megaworld Global Hotels & Resorts, whose expanding portfolio now includes 16 hotels. MGHR is targeting nearly 12,000 hotel rooms across key Philippine destinations by 2032, reflecting its continued growth in the country's hospitality sector.

As the portfolio develops, MGHR is working to align its hotel operations, people development, service standards, and destination identities. This approach seeks to ensure that expansion in room capacity goes hand in hand with maintaining the quality and consistency of the guest experience.

For the group, building a larger hotel portfolio also means preserving the essence of Filipino hospitality—delivering a consistent service culture while allowing every property to create an experience that feels authentic to its destination.

Kingsford Hotel Manila Reaches 5-Star Crescent Rating for Muslim-Friendly Travel

Kingsford Hotel Manila has elevated its standing in Muslim-friendly hospitality, moving up from a 4-Star to a 5-Star Crescent Rating. The latest recognition reflects the hotel’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services and provide a more comfortable, welcoming, and accommodating stay for Muslim travelers in Manila. The Crescent Rating system is operated by Crescent Rating, the world’s leading authority on Muslim-friendly and halal travel, helping travelers identify hotels and destinations that offer services designed to meet the needs of Muslim guests. For Megaworld Global Hotels & Resorts, the recognition marks an important achievement, with Kingsford Hotel Manila becoming the first MGHR hotel to secure a 5-Star Crescent Rating. The milestone reinforces the hotel group’s efforts to support more inclusive hospitality and cater to the growing Muslim travel market.

“Achieving a 5-Star Crescent Rating is an important milestone for Kingsford Hotel Manila, but more importantly, it reflects our commitment to making Muslim guests feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely welcomed. We want them to experience the warmth of Filipino hospitality while having access to the facilities, dining, and services that allow them to observe their faith with ease throughout their stay.” ~Jorold Montelibano, General Manager of Kingsford Hotel Manila

From Recognition to Everyday Hospitality

The 5-Star Crescent Rating of Kingsford Hotel Manila represents a meaningful step in the property’s continuing efforts to provide a more inclusive and welcoming experience for Muslim travelers. Rather than serving simply as a recognition, the rating reflects how Muslim-friendly hospitality has become part of the hotel’s day-to-day guest experience.

Certified by the Philippine Department of Tourism as a Muslim-Friendly Accommodation Establishment, Kingsford Hotel Manila provides Halal dining through its fully Halal kitchen. The culinary and service teams are trained in Halal food preparation and handling, helping ensure that Muslim guests can dine with greater confidence during their stay.

For prayer and religious observance, the hotel provides a dedicated prayer room, along with Qibla direction and the Qur’an. An in-room prayer set-up may also be arranged upon request, offering guests an additional option for privacy and convenience.

From dining and accommodation to prayer and personal religious practices, these amenities are designed to create a more comfortable and seamless experience for Muslim guests visiting Manila.

This commitment also reflects the Filipino value of hospitality. Like the sampaguita, which is widely associated with Filipino warmth and welcome, Kingsford Hotel Manila seeks to make every guest feel respected, cared for, and genuinely welcomed throughout their stay.

Welcoming Muslim Travelers from the Philippines and Beyond

With the growing number of Muslim travelers visiting the capital, Kingsford Hotel Manila sees an opportunity to serve a wider range of guests coming to Metro Manila for business, leisure, family holidays, government engagements, and group gatherings.

The hotel recorded a 102% increase in Muslim guest arrivals year-on-year, signaling stronger demand for Muslim-friendly accommodations in Metro Manila that take faith-based travel needs into consideration.

Through its expanded Muslim-friendly offerings, Kingsford Hotel Manila aims to become a comfortable and welcoming base for travelers discovering Manila and other parts of the Philippines. By providing services and amenities designed with Muslim guests in mind, the hotel seeks to make their stay more convenient while respecting their religious practices.

Moving forward, Kingsford Hotel Manila continues to strengthen its Muslim-friendly hospitality while staying true to the Filipino tradition of warm, caring, and genuine hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed throughout their stay.

Simbang Gabi Favorites featuring Puto Bumbong and Bibingka.

The arrival of the Ber months marks the beginning of the Philippines’ famously long Christmas season, and Belmont Hotel Manila is welcoming the holidays with a celebration rooted in Filipino tradition. Kicking off its Paskong Pinoy Christmas celebration is Simbang Gabi Favorites, bringing beloved seasonal treats closer to hotel guests and travelers.

For business travelers in Manila, finding a little time for holiday indulgence can be as simple as stepping outside the hotel. Available daily at the hotel driveway beside the Bike + Brew Kiosk, Simbang Gabi Favorites offers a convenient selection of familiar Filipino Christmas treats—ideal for an afternoon merienda between meetings, a quick bite while catching up with a client, or a take-home pasalubong before flying out.

Belmont Hotel Manila’s location in Newport City, with direct access to NAIA Terminal 3 via Runway Manila, adds to the convenience for busy travelers. Rather than spending valuable time searching for a holiday food experience, guests can simply step outside and enjoy a taste of Filipino Christmas tradition in Manila, just moments from their room, meeting venue, or next appointment.

“Paskong Pinoy is about the traditions and flavors that bring people together. Through Simbang Gabi Favorites, we want to bring that familiar Filipino Christmas experience into the moments we share with colleagues, clients, family, and friends.” ~Mayann Malapote, Hotel Manager

Nothing brings a little Filipino warmth to a business trip quite like bibingka and puto bumbong. At Belmont Hotel Manila, these beloved Christmas treats are part of Simbang Gabi Favorites, offering travelers a convenient way to enjoy traditional holiday flavours and take them home as pasalubong.

A box of freshly made bibingka can turn an afternoon client meeting into a more memorable Filipino experience, while a box to bring home offers an easy way to share the spirit of Christmas with colleagues, loved ones, and business partners.

The selection highlights two iconic Filipino Christmas delicacies. The warm, lightly charred bibingka is a traditional rice cake associated with Simbang Gabi, while puto bumbong is made with glutinous rice and traditionally enjoyed with butter, coconut, and sugar.

For diners looking for something more indulgent, Belmont Hotel Manila gives puto bumbong a contemporary upgrade with Dulce de Leche and Leche Flan. Completing the holiday experience is Tsokolate Baterol, a rich Filipino hot chocolate prepared with tablea and perfect for pairing with the sweet Christmas favourites.

Whether enjoyed during an office merienda, business meeting, family gathering, or catch-up with friends, these treats are made for sharing. They can also be brought home as pasalubong, allowing travelers to take a little piece of Filipino Christmas tradition with them.

Simbang Gabi Favorites are available daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM until November 2026, with earlier hours during the Simbang Gabi season.
