Stories and Coffee Meet at UCC Roast Master Launch

One of the most adored coffee roasters in the world, UCC, has long been known for its skill in producing top-notch coffee goods.

The Kobe-founded Japanese company is well-known throughout the world for producing high-quality coffee products, such as drip coffees, coffee capsules, instant coffee, 3-in-1 coffee mixes, ground and roast coffee, and ready-to-drink beverages. It most recently unveiled the UCC Roast Master, the newest addition to its expanding product line.

National Artist for Literature Dr. Gemino H. Abad and renowned writer and literary critic Jose Y. Dalisay, Jr. (fourth and fifth from the right, respectively) graced the launch of UCC Roast Master at UCC Mentore Coffee+Bar, Shangri-La Plaza Mall. Joining the celebration were UCC Philippines General Manager Naoya Fujimoto (extreme left), President and CEO Hubert Young (fourth from left), Business Development Director Emmanuel Torrejon (second from right), and Corporate Legal Counsel Atty. Severino “SP” Sumulong (extreme right), who warmly welcomed the esteemed guests.

Master craftsmen attended a launch event held by UCC to commemorate this exciting expansion. The event, which took place at Shangri-La Plaza Mall's UCC Mentore Coffee+Bar, represented the brand's dedication to excellence, creativity, and the ideal cup of coffee. Jose Y. Dalisay, Jr., a well-known Filipino author and literary critic, and Dr. Gemino H. Abad, National Artist for Literature, graced the launch.

Business Development Director Emmanuel Torrejon and UCC Philippines General Manager Naoya Fujimoto gave an overview of UCC's history, covering its beginnings in Kobe and its subsequent growth to various parts of the world.

As the only Japanese coffee brand to be listed among the best in the world, UCC keeps improving its customers' coffee experiences by introducing new products like the UCC Roast Master.

The UCC Roast Master product line includes five drip coffee varieties and three blends of whole and ground coffee beans that are expertly made by UCC's master roasters using state-of-the-art production methods.

Italian Roast Premium Coffee, a medium dark roast with milk chocolate notes and a caramel finish; Sumiyaki Premium Coffee, an extra dark roast with dark chocolate notes and a spiced, smoky finish; and Cafe Arabica Premium Coffee, a medium-bodied coffee with lychee notes and a smooth mouthfeel finish, are among the whole beans and ground products.

The Special Blend, a medium roast with guava fruit acidity and a taste of brown sugar after roast; Cafe Arabica, a medium dark roast with a milder acidity than the Special Blend and a taste of milk chocolate and caramel; Sumiyaki, an extra dark roast with smoky notes and dark cocoa; and Decaf, a dark roast with a well-balanced acidity and a bittersweet finish, are among the UCC Roast Master drip coffee varieties.

The UCC Roast Master line is now available at  leading supermarkets nationwide.
