XPRESSO By UCC Holds Grand Opening, Promises a Shot of Happiness to Coffee-Loving Filipinos

Coffee lovers will love the newest store concept that UCC Ueshima Coffee Philippines, the company that operates the UCC cafes and restaurants in the Philippines, has unveiled. This is the perfect place for those looking for a quick stopover to enjoy a good brew. The first XPRESSO by UCC was officially opened at Petron Bel-Air in Makati on June 5.

“At XPRESSO, we understand that you’re always on the go, and we are here to fuel your journey with a shot of happiness. XPRESSO by UCC is more than just a coffee kiosk; it is a testament to our commitment to providing you with the best quality coffee, quickly and conveniently. We are proud to offer our products at affordable prices without compromising on quality. Our coffee and food items are meticulously crafted to ensure they meet the high standards that UCC is known for. From P60 to P180 for beverages and P70 to P120 for food items, XPRESSO makes premium coffee accessible to everyone. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to our mission: to provide convenient coffee venues that serve the finest flavors of Japanese coffee at an affordable price. Each cup of XPRESSO coffee is a promise of quality and a moment of joy.” ~Hubert U. Young, Mugen Group President and CEO

Media representatives and invited guests attended the grand opening, where they enjoyed a fantastic performance by Taiko Drummers, games, a raffle, and the Wish Bus.

The Go-To Store for To-Go Quality Coffee

The coffee and non-coffee options on XPRESSO by UCC's menu are ideal for going with their pastries and sandwiches. The menu items are prepared so that patrons can grab and go to their homes, workplaces, or schools.

The XPRESSO name and a red circle, resembling the Japanese flag, are enclosed within a stacked box in the store's logo, which reflects the strong influence of Japanese pop culture and aesthetics on the design and branding of the establishment.

Coffee lovers of all ages, including Gen Z, Millennials, and XPRESSO by UCC, are catered to when they're searching for great coffee on-the-go. Its official slogan, “A Sip of the Rising Sun,” perfectly captures the spirit and inspiration of Japan. The founder of UCC, Tadao Ueshima, was a Japanese coffee industry pioneer who established the company in Kobe in 1933.

The tagline also reflects the positive and upbeat nature of XPRESSO by UCC, which aims to uplift and inspire Filipinos to be their best selves.

Serving the Second Biggest Coffee Consumers in Asia

Eighty percent of Filipinos drink an average of 2.5 cups of coffee per day, making the country the second largest individual coffee consumer market in Asia, according to World Coffee Portal Research. First place goes to Japan.

These figures demonstrate that coffee is an essential component of Filipino culture and not just a recreational activity.

In light of this, XPRESSO by UCC aims to satisfy Filipino coffee connoisseurs who are searching for novel coffee options without sacrificing flavor.
