SM CELEBRATE 126th PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE WITH UNIQUE EVENTS AND KALAYAAN JOB FAIRS

With a focus on job opportunities and community empowerment, SM Malls located in Grand Central, Sangandaan, and Valenzuela celebrate the 126th Philippine Independence Day with distinctive flag-raising ceremonies and captivating performances.

In Caloocan, hundreds of mall employees, business partners, and members of the community gathered to participate in the flag ceremony held at SM City Grand Central. Following this tribute, the mall transformed into a vibrant stage, showcasing a plethora of cultural performances. Among the highlights was a soul-stirring performance by Angklung and Ethnic Ensemble. The Independence Day celebration at SM City Grand Central not only features remarkable performances but also includes the Kalayaan Job Fair. Dubbed as “Trabaho para sa Super Pinoy,” the job fair at SM City Grand Central featured 52 companies offering thousands of job openings both locally and abroad. This initiative not only celebrated independence but also provided valuable support for Filipinos seeking employment opportunities.

In a similar vein, SM City Valenzuela and SM Center Sangandaan celebrated the nation's independence day with a number of poignant events and presentations. On June 14, SM City Valenzuela will hold a job fair to cap off its celebrations, offering hundreds of overseas job opportunities.

For Filipinos by Filipinos, SM Malls in Grand Central, Sangandaan, and Valenzuela encourage shoppers to patronize and to buy local with the Super Pinoy Market campaign. This campaign aims to empower and help businesses, especially Filipino brands and homegrown Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Super Pinoy Market are rolled out all throughout the month to help shoppers find, discover, and support MSMEs and local businesses in the malls.
