BekoPh Cook-off Cycle 2 #EatLikeAPro Grand Winner

The moment of truth has finally come and time to reveal the Grand Winner of #EatLikeAPro Cook-off Cycle 3 by BekoPh. Congratulations to Team Green for victoriously beating Team Yellow though they finish late cooking and preparing their dish, proving it's not the first to finish determine their chances of winning. 

Everything is set for the much-awaited showdown of two champions between Team Yellow and Team Green. The final day for this competition, one will announce as Grand Winner and took home a Beko Appliance Showcase plus 10,000 pesos cash.

The contest aims to showcase how parents and their children can work together in preparing delicious, budget-friendly, and healthy meals for the whole family.

A surprise birthday cake and greetings to Cj from Team Green celebrating her 12th birthday coincidentally falls on the grand championship which gives more luck for them.

The 1 hour or 60 mins countdown is just started, they have to cook 3 different dishes out of Malunggay (Moringga Oleifera Leaf), Talong (Eggplant), and Ampalaya (Bitter Gourd) within this time period or else they might lose the contest if they not able to make it on time.

The cooking contest for parent-child tandem is in support of Beko’s Eat Like A Pro (ELAP) advocacy, an information dissemination campaign that seeks to help parents provide healthier food choices for their children. This advocacy seeks to raise awareness about the rapidly growing rates of childhood malnutrition due in the Philippines to unhealthy eating habits.

Team Yellow has finished early and able to present their finished products to the judges.


Before tasting has to happen, the camera has to take first the photo so everyone around busy taking their best shots including the judges.

Judges are done tasting the Team Yellow's dish and it's time for them to put their score for the said team performance. Meanwhile, Team Green's dish is done also and getting ready for their turn to present in the judge's table. 

Two dishes from two teams are already presented to our judges. Time for them to decide and later on declare the grand winner.

While waiting for the final score and announcement of the grand winner, one of the invited judge Chef Gerick Manalo demonstrated his own healthy meal that can cook around 30 minutes also which is the Healthy Mushroom Sliders.

“We want parents to know that it is possible to make their children eat healthy without compromising the taste of the meals they serve. The Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off is only one of the things we are doing to promote healthy eating, especially among kids,” said Zapanta.
