The Future of Air-Conditioning With The World's Biggest Capacity,The New V6 from Concepcion Midea

Concepcion Midea Inc. Philippines (CMIP) is bringing the future of air-conditioning to the country -- the next generation VRF system called V6 – which has the biggest capacity in the world, but kinder to the environment and gentler to the pockets of the consumers.

The new Midea V6 VRF system is the perfect solution for these types of developments as it offers outstanding energy efficiency especially in a country with one of the highest electricity rates in Southeast Asia.

Aside from its huge capacity and energy efficiency, the V6 can work within a wide operation range – from -5 degree Celsius to 54 degree Celsius, providing consumers the much-needed comfort in extreme weather conditions. The V6 also has an intelligent control system that connects with any intelligent building system using the new IMM (Interactive Multimedia Management) pro platform, and a Mr. Doctor functionality that allows the V6 system to automatically test, self-diagnose and display error codes.

After its Philippine launch, which was held at the Shangri-La at the Fort attended by more than 150 strategic partners, the V6 will also be launched in Poland, Georgia, Hungary, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, South Africa and many other territories as part of a global road show.

Midea V6’s single module outdoor unit has a capacity of 32HP, the largest in the world, and a combined capacity of 128 HP. The V6 provides a 40 percent reduction in footprint compared to the previous generation. With the integration of EMS (energy management system), V6 could automatically adjust to evaporating temperature (in cooling) and condensing temperature (in heating) to maximize the comfort and energy efficiency. “The new Midea V6 VRF system is definitely a great addition to the current Midea HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) product offering. The fact that it has the largest single-unit capacity in the market today presents a unique competitive advantage for CMIP.  We therefore expect a significant improvement in sales and market share over the next few years,” said Phillip Trapaga, CMIP General Manager.

The V6 was launched in the country last August 2, following its unveiling in Dubai, Italy and Malaysia, signifying CMIP ’s growing confidence in the Philippine market, underpinned by the continued expansion of the domestic economy. The rising number of wealthy Filipinos, spurred by the growing economy, has resulted in the boom in the real estate and construction industries, a welcome development for CMIP’s wide-ranging products such as the V6.

In fact, CMIP sees the launch of V6 in the domestic market as “timely” considering the roaring property market, which saw the emergence of a number of business districts such as the Bonifacio Global City, townships, office and condominium buildings not just in Metro Manila but in other key cities such as Cebu, Davao, Bicol, Cagayan de Oro, among others. “The VRF segment is currently one of the fastest growing segments in the HVAC industry so we believe it is quite timely for Midea to launch the New V6 variant in the Philippines,” said Trapaga.

“What’s driving the growth in the local economy are OFW remittances, which resulted to a rise in residential condo developments; BPO’s, which raised the demand for new office space and increased the number of condo dwellers as well; and finally tourism, which pushes demand for mid-sized hotels and resorts in the provincial areas particularly in the surrounding areas of our famous tourist attractions,” Trapaga added.
