It's Pink October once again at Festival Mall.
Festival Mali steps up its annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign called Pink October to help promote early diagnosis and aid in the treatment of breast cancer with "Stronger in Pink", this year's theme for the said award-winning campaign. Stronger in Pink believes that with unity, women are stronger in life, in health, and, most especially, in heart and mind.
With an alarming 34.9 percent of breast cancer patients being diagnosed only at the late stages of the illness, there is an apparent need for more education on the symptoms and treatment of breast cancer.
The month-long campaign will be featuring various activities including Pinkalligraphy (Oct. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29 at the mail's New Wing); Pink Run (D'Feeting Breast Cancer) on Oct. 15, 5 a.m., to cap in free breast consultations; a poster-making Contest, following the theme Stronger in Pink and depicting the artist's own interpretation of "Strength in Adversity."
To run this whole month of October, Stronger in Pink opens on Oct. 6, at the Festival Mail Expansion Wing, gathering various advocate groups that proudly wave the pink flag high.
There will also be breast cancer awareness talks, exclusive discounts, free consultations, and much more throughout the month of October for the benefit of Pink October's partners ICanServe Foundation, Asian Hospital Charities Foundation, and Project Pink.
Festival Mali is a Filinvest Lifemall and a premier development in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It is the only mall with five anchor stores: Shopwise Supercenter, SaveMore, Robinsons Department Store, Ace Hardware, and Handyman. It has over 700 shops, a total of 2,300 multilevel parking slots, various food outlets, and indoor amusement rides.
