Karofi opens a pilot store at Robinsons Magnolia upon entering the Philippines

In the Philippines, especially in urban areas, the water that comes out of the faucet or tap is unsafe to drink and does not meet national government standards for quality.

The majority of Filipino households, or 53% of the population, lack access to a safely managed water supply, with only 48% of the population receiving piped or safely managed water services, according to data from the United Nations and Unicef.
