This final stop of the tour promises to be a spectacular showcase of skill, speed and style, featuring top riders from the Philippines, USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. |
The picturesque shores of Boracay Island will host the grand finale of Asia's longest-running kiteboarding tournament, the Philippine Kiteboarding Association, or PKA Tour, in its tenth season. Over 80 elite kiteboarding athletes from around the world will gather for three days of high-octane action on the beachfront of Aqua Boracay, Bulabog Beach, from March 14-16, 2025.
This final stop on the tour promises to be a spectacular display of skill, speed, and style, featuring top riders from the Philippines, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Yo Pudla of Thailand, the 8-time Asian Cup Champion and current IKA Asian Champion in Twin-Tip Racing, will compete against top contenders including Stefan Vance of Northern Ireland and other local athletes.
Among the top athletes representing the Philippines is Warner Janoya, a Boracay-born kiter and one of the country's most promising talents. Janoya, a standout in both Men's Freestyle and Foil Racing, is ready to make his hometown proud as he competes against the world's best.
Adding to the excitement, Triina Trei of Estonia, the reigning Season 9 Overall Champion in Women's Freestyle and Foil Racing, will defend her title against a strong field of competitors from Japan, China, and Australia.
Kite foil races as part of the sailing competitions will make their debut at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. This milestone energized the organization and the international kitesurfing community to promote the sport further, with the goal of sending representatives to the LA 2028 Olympics.
The competition will include four adrenaline-pumping disciplines: foil racing, twin-tip racing, freestyle, and hangtime, ensuring a diverse and thrilling spectacle for both spectators and fans.
In the Hangtime competition, competitors defy gravity by remaining airborne for the longest period of time without their boards touching the water. This stunning display of skill and control will keep spectators on the edge of their seats.
The tournament will include a freestyle competition that tests the limits of creativity and athleticism. Athletes will perform a variety of gravity-defying tricks, spins, and flips, providing a visual feast for spectators and judges alike.
Whether you prefer the classic twin tip board or the cutting-edge foil board, the racing segments will cater to all tastes. Experience the rush as competitors navigate the azure waters with speed, precision, and tactical prowess.
