Red Bull Half Court games, unlike traditional basketball, take up only half of the court and include teams of three players.  Games follow FIBA regulations, with a regulation time of 10 minutes and a maximum score of 21 points.  The winner of each match is determined by who achieves the highest score within the allotted time or who accumulates the most points first.

To add a surprising twist to the game, the teams that score the most points throughout all games will win the "Own the Court" bonus, which will assist them advance to the next round.  3-point shots may be made from two special circles behind the arc, speeding up the game and increasing its intensity.

Red Bull Half Court, in collaboration with 7-Eleven, increases the intensity of its 2025 season in the Philippines by introducing a new 2-day competition structure for qualifier rounds.  Regional qualifiers will be held in Davao on August 30 and 31; Cebu on September 13 and 14, and Manila on September 27 and 28.  The elimination rounds will take place on the first day, followed by the qualification showdown on the second day.  Winning teams from each regional qualifier will progress to the Red Bull Half Court National Final in Manila on October 18, where they will compete against select wildcard teams for the chance to represent the Philippines at the Red Bull Half Court World Final in the United Arab Emirates.
