Cebu Pacific (CEB) warns its customers on the proper use and transportation of power banks onboard, as required by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
Passengers may bring power banks with capacities of up to 100 Wh. Passengers can obtain approval at the check-in desk with power banks with capacities ranging from 100Wh to 160Wh.
Using and charging power banks while in flight is absolutely prohibited for safety reasons.
Passengers must bring their power banks as a hand-carry item and keep them in their pockets or the seat pocket in front of them.
Power banks must not be stored in the overhead bins or beneath the seats.
All extra or loose lithium batteries, including power banks, must be individually wrapped to avoid short circuits. Lithium battery terminals should be taped or retained in their original packing, and power banks should be stored in plastic bags, zip locks, or protective pouches.
The safety and comfort of our passengers is our top priority. For further information, please visit bit.ly/CEB-PowerbankFAQs.
